Privacy Policy

The Ontario Museum Association is committed to respecting the privacy of individuals and recognizes the need of people with whom we do business (members, stakeholders, students, funders, partners and the general public), and OMA employees for the appropriate management and protection of any Personal Information that is provided to us.  Our Privacy Policy includes guidelines on the collection, use and storage of Personal Information as follows:

  • Collection: The OMA  voluntarily adheres to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada).  All information is collected by fair and lawful means.  The OMA will limit the collection and use of personal information to that required for valid business purposes or to comply with legislation.
  • Use: Personal information collected may be used for statistical purposes and internal reference. Personal information will not be disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or as required by law.
  • Storage: The organization will store personal information collected on the Website using electronic means in such a way as to prevent unauthorized collection, access, use, disclosure or disposal of the personal information.
