Located in a historic general store, this community museum displays the merchandise and trade goods of the area during the 1895-1934 period. The museum focuses on the Vacationland Region around the north end of the Colonial Road which stretched between York and Lake Nipissing.  Many families traveled to the region and located themselves in the region around Commanda.   Interpretive tours are available and exhibits that highlight the Victorian experience of settling in the towns of Powassan, Trout Creek, Nipissing, Alsac, Commanda, Restoule, Golden Valley, Bear Valley, Hadum Valley, Carr, Arntsien, Port/ Loring and Lost Channel.  The development of a Childrens Heritage Activities Room helps educate our youngest visitors about lifestyles gone by.  The Local Artisan Gift Shop and Tea Room are also open to visitors to browse through and enjoy.
