Workers History Museum Exhibition

The Struggle for Family Leave
Until December 31, 2015

About the exhibit
This travelling exhibit tells the story of the struggle to win family leave in Canada. It explores how feminists, political activists and unionists fought for rights that many Canadians, union and non-union, now enjoy. The exhibit highlights the importance of collective agreement provisions won through negotiations and strikes. The rich history and culture of the progress to gain family leave exemplifies how activists can push society to be the best it can be, and how hard work and dedication to do what’s right can pay off and provide benefits for us all.
