This public gallery is dedicated to the collection, research and exhibition of contemporary First Nations art. As a major northern gallery, it serves Northwestern Ontario by presenting exhibitions of local and regional artists' works and by acting as a link to other cultural centres and artistic communities. The gallery's permanent collection of First Nations art has been internationally recognized. Exhibition programming, education and community outreach services are offered as well as guided tours, guest lectures, artist workshops, art instruction for all ages, art sales and rentals and an accessible resource library.
