Ridgeway Battlefield Site
June 1, 1866, the Fenians attacked Canada at the Battle of Ridgeway. This Battle provided additional impetus for the provinces to join Confederation and to begin development of a national defence force. This site is open year round, with a memorial cairn, picnic pavilion and a historic home that withstood the bullets in the thick of the fray.
