Ireland House Museum Program

Culinary Kids Club
Until May 29, 2022 (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM)

Our Culinary Kids Club program provides a fun, hands-on learning environment for participants to explore several cooking methods, including some use of the Museum’s historic hearth and wood stove. The recipes selected for each session are based on a monthly theme, allowing participants to prepare and taste a variety of culinary creations.

This program is designed for children aged 8-12 years old and is offered one Sunday/month from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. There is no experience necessary, all supplies are included. Pre-registration is required. Masks are mandatory. See you in the kitchen!

May 29: Victorian Tea Party

It’s tea time! Participants will learn about the historical significance of tea parties in the Victorian Era, particularly foods and drinks that would have been served at these events. Sticking to a traditional menu, participants will make a variety of tea sandwiches to enjoy, along with buttery shortbread cookies and fluffy currant scones. Finally, they will brew their own herbal tea infusions.
