Centre franco-ontarien de folklore
The Franco-Ontarian folklore Center is a leader in the field of conservation and development of heritage. The work of its founder, Father Germain Lemieux, and the realization of the Inventory of Franco-Ontarian heritage have earned it an enviable reputation. Recognized as Provincial Heritage Organization in 1991, its mission is to collect, preserve and enhance the Franco-Ontarian oral heritage. The center is dedicated to the research and interpretation of the Franco-Ontarian collecting and archiving its material, spiritual, symbolic and historic heritage. The center offers workshops and lectures, a reference library, guided tours of exhibitions relating to French Canadian culture, a database on the Franco-Ontarian heritage and folklore archives.
