Adventure Talks - Virtual Series
Until March 10, 2021 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM)

Take a Virtual Adventure with us this Winter!

Traveling near and far, these explorers have been on trips of a lifetime and are excited to share their journey, stories and photographs with you. Please join us in this three-part virtual series to learn about some of the world’s most wonderful places. This program will be hosted virtually on Microsoft Teams, your link will be provided on the day before for each talk for the presentations.

February 10 – Dan Wong  – Adventuresin the Arctic Wilderness: Tales by a Northern Canoe Guide

Northern canoe guide Dan Wong will share stories from his first summer in the Arctic after taking over Alex Hall’s 43-year-old business: Canoe Arctic Inc. His presentation will share tales from the tundra: arctic wolf den discoveries, stampeding herds of muskoxen, and a trip to Canada’s newest national park: Thaidene Nene. Participants will learn about Dan’s epic adventures (and misadventures) that weave between the traditional river routes Alex pioneered, and the guests and guides who continue to explore them. Dan is the owner of Jackpine Paddle, based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and offers fully-guided expeditions by canoe and kayak to the most remote and spectacular places in the Canadian North.
