Summer Tours 2023

Osgoode Hall's Façade
Summer Tours 2023
Jusqu'au September 1, 2023 (1:15 PM - 2:15 PM)

Tours of Osgoode Hall, conducted by Law Society volunteers, give you a fascinating glimpse inside one of Toronto's landmark buildings.

Tours usually include visits to:

  • The Atrium, with its geometric tile floor and stained glass skylights, portraiture of Chief Justices of past centuries, its touching war memorial, and its architecture reminiscent of an Italian palazzo.
  • A solemn 19th century courtroom.
  • The Great Library, with its classical reading room, 40-foot high ceiling, spectacular ornamental plaster, war memorial, and an elegant spiral staircase in the American Room.
  • The East Wing, in use since 1832 - one of the oldest buildings in Canada that is still in the hands of its original owner and used for its original purpose.
  • Convocation Hall, Osgoode Hall's great hall, which looks like a set from the Harry Potter movies.

Please note that as Osgoode Hall is a courthouse and a busy office building, the tour itinerary may be subject to change without notice
