Cooking in Dundurn Castle's historic kitchen
Heirloom Tomatoes Cooking Workshop
Jusqu'au August 20, 2022 (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

Brandywine, Orange Persimmon and Pèche Vilmorin Andrieux are all varieties of tomatoes being grown in Dundurn’s fabulous Garden. The French called the tomato “pomme d’amour”, or love apple, believing them to have aphrodisiac powers.  Join our costumed cooks and gardeners in an immersive experience consisting of harvesting heirloom tomatoes in the garden and preparing a unique and tasty selection of historic tomato recipes using the cast iron range in the 19th century historic kitchen.
