Community Waterfront Heritage Centre

The Community Waterfront Heritage Centre (CWHC) is located on Owen Sound's picturesque harbour at 1155 1st Ave West, in a historic 1932 CN Rail Station. It is the last train station of its kind in Ontario. The museum features artifacts & archives, working train models, a 1930s CNR caboose, and a 1953 CNR train car. Be sure to check out the exquisite ship model collection. If you're there at 12 or 5pm, enjoy the sound of the historic Kennedy Whistle.

The CWHC is a charitable, volunteer-based organization, committed to preserving the rich marine, rail, and industrial history of Owen Sound. For more details visit waterfrontheritage.ca, call 519-371-3333, or email info@waterfrontheritage.ca.

The Community Waterfront Heritage Centre is open daily from 10:00am-4:00pm from Victoria Day Weekend to Thanksgiving Day. During the Winter it is open on Fridays and Saturdays, or by appointment.
