Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre Exhibition

"Spotlight" on the Collection Exhibit
Until April 29, 2017 (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

This exciting exhibit recounts the amazing career of David Thompson, “the greatest land geographer who ever lived.” A surveyor and trapper for both the Hudson’s Bay Company and the North West Company at the turn of the 19th Century, Thompson is credited with mapping 2,000,000 square miles of early North America. The exhibition also features key items from the Museum’s own collections, which speak to early local travel, survey and exploration.  Included with general admission.
