Welland Historical Museum Event

See event description for all details.
Welland Museum in Conversation with Genevieve Graham
Until September 23, 2020 (7:00 PM - 8:00 PM)

Join the Welland Museum (virtually) as we chat with bestselling author Genevieve Graham about her latest novel The Forgotten Home Child. Like us, Graham is a strong supporter of Canadian history so we’ll talk about how important it is to tell our stories, in particular about the British Home Children, a little-known part of history that inspired her latest novel.

The virtual event will be live from 7pm-8pm EDT on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.

Tickets are $10 for non-members. Members will save 25% with a special promo code.

A private Zoom link will be shared with all ticket holders prior to the event.

The Welland Museum is working in partnership with Someday Books for this event. If you buy a copy of Genevieve Graham’s novel, The Forgotten Home Child, from Someday Books, you will receive a signed book plate from the author (limited quantities available). Order your copy by September 1, 2020 to ensure you receive the book before the event. Please note in the comment section of the online order that you are purchasing it for the Welland Museum event so the signed book plate can be added to your order.

A warning on content: The lives of many British Home Children were not positive so there will be discussions surrounding the treatment many of these children received when they arrived in Canada.
