Toronto Railway Museum Event

View of the John Street Roundhouse
The John Street Roundhouse's 90th Birthday
Until October 5, 2019 (12:00 PM - 5:00 PM)

The John Street Roundhouse is turning 90! Join the Toronto Railway Museum as we celebrate the nine decades of the Roundhouse. Open to families, this unique, one-day event is our way of celebrating this birthday of historic proportions. There will be hands-on activities and learning opportunities, as well as rides and tours:

- Enjoy a ride on our historic turntable - it’s the longest in Canada!

- Get an exclusive look at our restoration area and see how our volunteers make our locomotives and rolling stock look their best

- Participate in our 90 Year Scavenger Hunt and search the park for clues as you learn about the nine decades of the Roundhouse’s life

- Send a “Happy Birthday” message to the Roundhouse in our video booth.

- Ride our miniature train around Roundhouse Park and try to imagine what the area looked like 90 years ago

- Food truck

- Birthday cake, while supplies last

The Toronto Railway Museum is operated by the Toronto Railway Historical Association, a registered charitable organization. TRM has been located in John Street Roundhouse since 2010, with exhibits open year round and seasonal miniature train ride and guided tours.
