Historic Places day at Wolseley Barracks

Celebrate Historic Places Day! Take the opportunity to learn more about National Historic Site Wolseley Barracks in London, ON. Several special activities are scheduled between 1pm and 4pm: Outdoor Tour of Wolseley Barracks (1:00pm to 1:30pm & 3:00pm to 3:30pm); Military Fashion Show (2:00pm to 3:00pm); O’Leary Collection (1:00pm to 4:00pm).
Come join us for a walking tour of ‘A’ Block at Wolseley Barracks in London, ON, birthplace of the Canadian Infantry. Built in 1886-1888, the structure was destined to host “D” Company of the Infantry School Corps that was approved in 1883. Today the west wing is home to The Royal Canadian Regiment Museum. Enjoy a fashion show featuring military uniforms and civilian attire animated by the Royal Scots Re-enactment Society, the Canadian Great War Society and Coatessa Sewing. Visit the O’Leary Collection of military memorabilia from the late 1800s and early 1900s on display this day only.
