Make the trip to visit the Port Burwell Marine Museum and Historic Lighthouse (1840) in beautiful Port Burwell, north coast of Lake Erie in the Municipality of Bayham, County of Elgin, Ontario, Canada.  The Museum offers a unique collection of lighthouse lenses including the rotating Fresnel lens, artifacts recovered from Lake Erie shipwrecks, local historic artifacts and harbour photographs.  Special Exhibit: "Port Burwell: The Meeting Place of Water, Road and Rail" to celebrate Canada 150 County-wide "Transportation" themed exhibits. The 1840 wooden Lighthouse offers a 56-step climb to the top for a magnificent panoramic view.  Open Daily Mid-May to Labour Day, 10am - 5:30pm.  Beautiful beach with free parking is nearby, as well as, great restaurants, ice-cream shops, specialty treasure and art shops, camping, bird watching and much more in the area to enjoy.
