The museum is located in the former annex of the Rosamond Woolen Company Complex, a National Historic Site of Canada. Built in 1866, the mill was at one time the largest woolen mill in Canada. The museum collects, conserves, interprets and displays textile history, related art and themes representing the development of the textile industry. Special events include rotating exhibitions and a fibre art festival - Fibrefest - annually in September.
