Celebrate Black History Month

The Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum, in partnership with the Caribbean Canadian Association of Waterloo Region and University of Waterloo Black Association for Student Expression are proud to present Black History Month 2020. Featuring guest speaker Dr. Laura Mae Lindo, MPP Kitchener Centre, and music by Starlite Steelband, come join us as we celebrate black history and Carribean culture.

Join us for a one day only exhibit in our foyer from the Canadian Multicultural Inventors Museum featuring a range of African Inventors and inventions including the window cleaner, traffic light, eggbeater, space shuttle retrieval, and more.

Meet representatives from Bring on the Sunshine, Waterloo Region District School Board, Congress of Black Women-Waterloo Region, African Caribean Black Network, Guelph Black Heritage Society, and more.

Free entry to event. Caribbean food will be on sale.

General admission applies to gallery visits. Admission will also include a special Black History Month tour, where we explore the stories of those who lived and grew up right here in Waterloo Region.
