Chinese New Year Celebrations
Until February 6, 2016 (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM)

2016 is the year of the Fire Monkey!

The celebrations will begin with speeches followed by a presentation about adopted children of Chinese heritage titled 'Three Embraces'. Cathryn Graham and Tamara Schmitke will share their experiences with all.
There will also be several demonstrations;

  • Six Word Qigong Exercise performed by May Ip
  • Chinese Martial Arts done by the Golden Tiger School of Kung Fu
  • Guzheng performed by Emily Bi
  • Chinese New Year songs performed by the Bayview Public School Choir

Light refreshments and crafts for the children will also be available after the opening ceremonies.

After these events complete at 1pm, more ways to celebrate will take place at the owen Sound Public Library and the Tom Thomson Art Gallery!
