Poster for the event Museum Secrets: Care and Storage of Family History
Museum Secrets: Care and Storage of Family History
Until April 27, 2019 (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM)

A tour of the archives and presentation with our Archival Coordinator on the best ways to care for paper-based family artefacts.

Family history keeps memories alive, allowing each generation to know who they are and where they have come from. However, with time the artefacts that tell these stories can deteriorate.

The goal of this presentation is to provide those who are interested with the tools and knowledge to better preserve their history using methods and tricks museums use. A tour of the Museum archives shows what resources the Museum can provide when researchers are tackling their family history.
