Heritage Skills Workshop Series
Until November 27, 2019

Our popular Heritage Skills Workshop Series is back for a third installment, this year taking on the craftsmanship of the Victorian era. NEW this year is the addition of an evening offering!

Workshops will take place on the last Wednesday of September, October, and November at 1pm and 6pm (participants sign up for EITHER the afternoon OR evening offering).  Each workshop is two hours in length and includes a presentation, behind the scenes look at our collection (unique to the topic), and a “make and take” hands-on activity.

September’s “Dairying: Milk Makes It” will profile the local dairy industry and include an introduction to the art and technique of cheese making.

October’s “The Hand-Crafted Sign” will explore the artistry behind industrial and commercial sign painting, and will allow participants to create their own hand-painted sign.

Rounding out the series, November’s “Victorian Ornaments” will look at the technique of tinsmithing and the tradition of hand-made holiday ornaments.

Advance registration is required.  Participants can sign up for individual workshops or take advantage of the series discount.  Contact Peggy for more information: .
