Visitors to this community museum and archives can get a glimpse into the early settlers' lives during the 1850s to 1900s. The museum has restored the town's stone jail with its three cell lockups, a log cabin and a brick-veneered frame home. The frame Meeting Place building has displays, archives, and a meeting room. Guided museum tours are available. School and outreach programs including walking tours are offered by appointment. Groups and visitors to the archives must book ahead. Special displays and events - Canada Day and an annual house tour - are also offered.
