Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre

The Lakeshore Grounds Intepretive Centre aims to research, preserve, and share the natural and built heritage of the Lakeshore Grounds region of South Etobicoke and to engage both the Humber College and Etobicoke Lakeshore communities through a mix of cultural and arts-based exhibitions and programming. We focus primarily on themes of Indigenous heritage, mental health, education, environmental sustainability, and local history.

The primary exhibit space of the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre is located off the main lobby of the Student Welcome and Resource Centre (beside Starbucks). This space features rotating exhibitions that highlight themes connected to the history of the Lakeshore Grounds. The third floor hallway in the same building serves as the Third Floor Gallery, a rotating art space with three to four shows hosted annually.

The Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre also offers regular cultural programming, guided historic tours of the grounds, and workshops. All exhibit and events are free and open to the public. Please see lakeshoregrounds.ca for current offerings.
