WWII Recruiting Posters
Handle With Care
Jusqu'au August 31, 2017

In this temporary exhibit, "Handle with Care" examines some of CFMAD's artifacts that require extra care or attention, and the actions that museum professionals take to ensure that historical objects can last for generations.

The centrepiece of the exhbit is a collection of five Second World War recruiting posters that were found inside of a wall in a North Bay building that used to be a Royal Canadian Air Force recruiting centre. The posters, needing a lot of care after so much neglect, were conserved by students of the Algonquin College Applied Museum Studies program.

Come learn about ways that we take care of artifacts, and ways that you can take care of your own family treasures!
